Salted Caramel Smoothie Bowls
/How to Make a Delicious and Quick Smoothie Bowl
Hey Everyone!
I hope the start of the school year has been going well!. I started my Sophomore year at the University of Arkansas, and it has been a blast! One of my friends and my favorite places to go for food is called Mamaka Bowls. It is a beach inspired, indoor/outdoor smoothie bowl shop super close to campus! We absolutely love the bowls they make for us here, but on a college budget it can get pretty pricey. So, my best friend and I decided to try to recreate our favorite Salted Caramel Bowl, and let me tell you, it turned out AMAZING! We estimated amounts of each of the ingredients, so for the food blog today, I will be giving you guys a rough recipe to the best ice cream/ smoothie bowl I’ve ever made!
Ingredients for Salted Caramel Smoothie Bowl
Serving Size: This recipe made two bowls.
2 frozen bananas, plus one ripe banana
1 single serve packet of almond butter (about 2 tablespoons or so)
4-6 pitted dates (Gives the smoothie the caramel flavor
1 tablespoon of coconut sugar (This ingredient is optional, because the bananas contribute a lot of sweetness!)
1 tablespoon of cinnamon
A dash of almond milk (to help with blending)
How to Make Salted Caramel Smoothie Bowl
Making this bowl is super easy. You simply add all of the ingredients to a food processor or blender, and mix! I personally like using food processors better, because I find it blends the ingredients more quickly, but either will do!
Because this is a rough recipe, you can add or subtract amounts of any ingredient so the bowl is to your liking!
Optional Toppings: Oats, chopped bananas, chia seeds, mini chocolate chips, walnuts, pecans, etc.
Recipes like these allow for so much personal creativity. Make it fun! Add ingredients you truly enjoy, display your toppings, and enjoy eating healthy!
